Purpose
John B. MacDonald’s purpose is to equip and encourage you to become more like Jesus Christ and to live all of life with God-honoring competence and joy.
To pursue that goal, he develops and distributes practical biblical resources for making disciples. These include multimedia projects, blog posts, and other life-enriching catalysts.

Bio
John practiced law for over 25 years while regularly teaching in churches, colleges, retreats, and other venues. In 2003, he accepted an invitation to become a pastor-teacher in Metro Vancouver, Canada.
Now, he serves with Outreach Canada Ministries with a focus on making disciples.
Over the years, in addition to a B.Com. and a J.D. from the University of British Columbia, he completed an M.A. in Biblical Studies at Regent College (Vancouver) and a Doctoral degree at Trinity Western University. His doctoral thesis was at the intersection of leadership, conflict, and spiritual formation.
Core beliefs
Occasionally, I am asked questions such as “What denomination do you associate with?” These questions are often asked to understand my doctrinal position and practice.
Over the decades, my circle of fellowship has widened to many denominations. My personal history is in the evangelical movement in Canada, although I have friends and companions in other “camps.”
I have been serving with Outreach Canada Ministries for over a decade and heartily endorse its statement of faith.
